Walks are also for me my creative outlet, my way to reset myself, to connect with presence, with my daughters.
Also a way to reset is reading, just putting a book and read, concentrate, helps me to focus and connect with presence.
I'm a highly sensitive person and ADHD, so I need these glimmers into my day, to be able to tackle all the anxiety and overall overwhelm of this world, specially with two small 3yo and 8yo girls.
I'm glad to meet another fellow walker, and thank you for the kind words! I try to maintain the same mindset. I also like riding my bike to start things off, go for a few miles, and then finish off with the cool down walk. So many benefits both physically and mentally.
Same thing with reading!
I feel that as a "girl dad" too. When I'm able to be more clear and focused, it allows me to be more present with them, which is what they'll remember the most.
This was my first go at doing a live while out on an evening walk. Hoping to do more of these as time goes on!
The theme was finding your reset button.
What’s your reset? Is it a walk, a shower, a 20-minute playlist in the car?
Drop it in the comments — I love hearing how other people reset and it helps others with their self care too!
Love this Matt!

Yeap. I walk 2 hours daily with my 3yo and it's the best. I talk with her, she plays and teaches me so much.
Maybe we should have a "Walk Club" or something! It's my quintessential strategy for my creative work.
If I walk, I create. Therefore I am.
